TERRA Project Launches

TERRA Project Launches to Tackle Water and Coastal Challenges

We are excited to announce the official launch of TERRA, a groundbreaking European project that started on January 1st, 2025. Over the next few years, TERRA will integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Twins (DTs), and Big Data with Copernicus Earth Observation services to address critical environmental challenges, including water pollution, coastal changes, and flood forecasting.

A New Approach to Environmental Monitoring

TERRA aims to enhance decision-making in climate and environmental management by leveraging cutting-edge technologies. By combining advanced data analytics with real-time Earth Observation insights, the project will support a wide range of stakeholders, from policymakers and businesses to researchers and local communities.

Key Focus Areas

Water Pollution Detection – Monitoring and analyzing water quality to support environmental sustainability.
Coastline Change & Flood Prediction – Enhancing resilience against climate-related hazards.
AI & Big Data for Earth Observation – Developing innovative tools for better data processing and visualization.

Collaboration & Impact

TERRA brings together leading experts from diverse fields, including research institutions, industry partners, SMEs, and public authorities, to develop scalable solutions that benefit society and contribute to the EU Green Deal goals.
